He seems to be joking. But Loggins and other family members are serious when they tell tall-sounding tales of a tot playing catch when most kids are learning to roll over, tossing perfect spirals soon after that. Johnathan was fearless and a bit reckless. And always, always he competed like heck.
He started regularly beating his grandfather in golf at age 10, which was probably a good thing for the boy’s emotional well-being. If he caught more bass than his Papa, everything was great. If not?
