New York Jets release Tim Tebow
Tim Tebow was informed Monday morning when he arrived at the team’s facility he’ll be released, and the team put out a statement:
“We have a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow,” said Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan. “Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason. We wish him the best moving forward.” -

Jeremy Lin gets applause in return to New York
Lin knows as well as any current or former Knick how special a reception can be in the Garden. He was the toast of the town last season, when the arena was electric with Lin putting on show after show.
“It will always have a special place no matter how long I play just because that was the beginning for me. Anytime you have a stretch like that, you’ll remember it forever. It’ll always have a special place in my heart for sure.”
