    Finnish goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff announced his retirement today.

    His NHL career - most of which was played for the Calgary Flames - spanned 12 seasons and 623 games (319-213-71) plus 56 playoff (25-28) appearances, and a career average of 2.49 GAA and .912 sv%. He won the Bronze at the 2010 Olympics, Silver at the World Championships twice (1999 & 2001), and Silver at the World Cup in 2004. In 2005-06, he was an NHL All-Star, won the Vezina, William M. Jennings, and the Molson Cup. He is the Calgary Flames’ franchise record holder in wins and shutouts.

    Congrats to Kiprusoff on an amazing career.
